F1: Ferrari 'christens' the Madring
Filming day allows Ferrari to be the first to take to the new circuit that will host the Spanish Grand Prix. Silverstone winner, Charles Leclerc and teammate Lewis Hamilton both took advantage of the filming day to drive the Madrid circuit, which hosts the Spanish Grand Prix in September. The pair were at the whell of the SF-26, albeit fitted with Pirelli promotional tyres. Despite the obvious limitations, including mileage, the outing will give both the drivers and engineers valuable insight into the basic characteristics of the Spanish track, a move which is unlikely to have gone down well with rivals.
