Schumacher tops qualifying but Webber on pole
Red Bull's Mark Webber will inherit pole position for tomorrow's Monaco Grand Prix from the penalised Michael Schumacher after finishing second to the German in qualifying on Saturday. A five-place grid penalty for Schumacher from the Spanish Grand Prix means he forfeits his first pole position since 2006 and starts sixth on the grid.
In a tense finish to Q3, Schumacher's team-mate Nico Rosberg first appeared to have secured pole position after posting a time of 1m14.448s, before he was ousted by Mark Webber's 1m14.381s. Schumacher had the final say however, when he lapped the street track in a time of 1m14.301s to claim the pole, eight hundredths clear of Webber's benchmark.
