Vettel says late pit stop was the right decision

Sebastian Vettel pointed out that pitting for the second time was the right thing to do at the Canadian Grand Prix in order to recover from a planned one-stop strategy which would have cost the German even more. The Red Bull driver was running in third place behind Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso but decided to head to the pits for a fresh set of tyres seven laps from the end and rejoined further back before finishing fourth. The team's dilemma at the Circuit Gilles Villenueve was that it expected the primes to last longer than it had hoped but found the car too heavy on the tyres towards the latter stages.
