Customer cars could return next year
Formula 1 could see customer cars returning to the sport next year in a regulation that could ease the financial burdens on lesser teams. All participants are currently required to build their own chassis independently but some incur huge costs as a result as several resources are needed to function as a constructor. The 81-year-old ruled out fielding a third car for every team but was in favour of reintroducing the concept of putting up cars from the previous season up on sale for lesser teams.
