McLaren 'a long way away' from Red Bull
McLaren are a "long way away" from Red Bull, according to Lewis Hamilton who couldn't challenge for the win, or even the podium at his home race. The 27-year-old qualified in eighth and finished in the same position after struggling for pace on both the hard and soft compound tyres. He believes McLaren remain in the fight for the title, despite dropping from second to fourth in the constructors' championship (behind Red Bull, Ferrari and Lotus), but they must work hard to catch their rivals. "A long way away," he said in reply to where McLaren stand compared to Red Bull, who's Mark Webber won the race. "But we'll keep working and hopefully try and catch up....
