Bottas stays on top on day two of Silverstone test
Williams concluded the young driver test at Silverstone with the quickest time yet again with Valtteri Bottas predictably emerging as the fastest driver on Friday. The Finn clocked a time of 48.963 seconds around the shorter 3.05km International Circuit, which largely forms the first and third sector of full track. “It was useful to get some longer runs in again and it was good for me to get a better understanding of the tyres, and how the team works,” Bottas said on a trouble-free day. “We were lucky with the weather considering the forecast, as we were able to do most of the runs in the dry, despite a bit of dampness early on,” he added.
