Alonso hails Ferrari with consistency

Fernando Alonso praised Ferrari for giving him a consistently strong car after his 23rd consecutive points finish saw him extend his championship lead. Having qualified in sixth place, Alonso said that his main target was to beat Mark Webber; his closest challenger in the championship standings. In the race he managed to do so by coming home fifth ahead of Webber in seventh, and Alonso said he was pleased with Ferrari's consistency as he extended his lead to 40 points. "It was, again, a good Sunday for us in terms of points," Alonso said.
