Mercedes to run new exhausts in Singapore
Mercedes will take its upgraded exhaust package to the Singapore Grand Prix after successfully testing the development during the young driver test. The outfit has lagged behind its biggest rivals in terms of upgrades after it decided to focus its efforts on understanding the tyres. This has seen them drop off the pace quite significantly. However, during the test at Magny-Cours in which Sam Bird and Brendon Hartley covered over 1,000km, Ross Brawn and the teams engineers were impressed by the level of performance the Coanda-exhausts offered.
