'Gloves-off' for Hamilton in title bid

Lewis Hamilton has kept the disappointment of his exit at the Singapore Grand Prix behind him and will approach the next race in Japan impervious in his bid for the title this year. The McLaren driver, who has signed for Mercedes next season, is 52 points behind championship leader Fernando Alonso but with six races to go, the British driver has set his outlook towards optimism. “In terms of the championship, there’s nothing to really be gained by analysing the points tables, from now on, it’s simply gloves-off,” Hamilton said. “As in Singapore, I’ll come out fighting, I’ll just be hoping for a better result.'
