Maldonado scores after ten-race gap
Pastor Maldonado ended his points-drought, which lasted ten races, at the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday after the Venezuelan finished eighth in the race. Adding four points to his tally, the Williams driver made up four places from the starting grid in Suzuka to score for the first time since his win at the Spanish GP in May. 'It was a good race for me. The car had great pace and was very consistent, but it proved difficult to overtake, especially towards the end,” Maldonado said. “We felt we were quicker than the cars in front, but the nature of the track makes it difficult to close the gap.
