Williams still pushing for double points finishes
Japan on Sunday saw Pastor Maldonado finally score his first Formula 1 points since winning the Spanish Grand Prix in May. Since then, team-mate Bruno Senna has made the top ten on five occasions but, as Chief Operations Engineer Mark Gillan continues to stress, double points finishes remain the sole priority. Williams has achieved only a single double-scoring result so far in 2012, when Senna and Maldonado came home seventh and eighth in the Chinese Grand Prix. “It was very pleasing to secure the four points, but as a team our goal this year is to get both cars home in the points at all races, so there is still work to be done,” Gillan says on Tuesday, with Maldonado having...
