Vergne regrets changing setup overnight
Jean-Éric Vergne was left to lament what might have been in India, having suffered his seventh Q1 elimination of the year. The Frenchman, who was the slowest runner with the exception of the three newest teams, is now regretting late car setup changes. “Yesterday, Daniel (Ricciardo) and I had tried different setups on our cars and mine was not working so well, so we made changes to the car overnight,” Vergne explained. “That meant that this morning it was like starting from the beginning with a clean sheet of paper.
