Maldonado made mistake at final corner
Pastor Maldonado has revealed that he slid out wide at the final corner during qualifying in India, leaving him ninth quickest and the slowest of the drivers to post lap times in Q3. The Williams man will share the fifth row with the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg, who elected not to set a time to save tyres. “I made a small mistake on the final corner of my final lap, which lost me quite a lot of time, so I don’t think ninth is reflective of our true pace today,” the Venezuelan said. “We were not as quick as we needed to be yesterday but we worked really hard to understand why and the car felt much better today. “We’re back challenging in Q3, so there are lots...
