Ecclestone calls Formula E 'stupid'

Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has dismissed the FIA’s initiative to start an electric-powered racing series in 2014 labelling it as a thoughtless idea. Formula E is slated to host races in the streets of ten major cities globally in its debut season fielding ten teams and 20 drivers, but the 82-year-old wasn’t too keen to keep an eye on it. 'I think those sort of things are lawn-mowers. I am not very supportive of this,' Ecclestone told PTI. When asked whether he saw that competition to F1, he replied, 'That would be stupid.”
