Higher kerbs to combat off-track gains

The Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi has installed higher kerbs at several key corners in an attempt to stop drivers from gaining an advantage from exceeding the track limits. As per Article 20.2 of the sporting regulations, the track is defined by the white line and kerbs do not count as part of the track, therefore two wheels must remain within the boundary at all times. Jenson Button has welcomed the decision to install tougher kerbs at turns five, six, 12, 13, 14, 18 and 19. "Drivers must use the track at all times.
