Abiteboul appointed Caterham team principal
Caterham promoted its chief executive officer Cyril Abiteboul to the role of team principal, replacing Tony Fernandes with immediate effect. Abiteboul, 35, joined the team in September from engine suppliers Renault Sport F1 where he was the deputy managing director. He will continue his responsibilities as CEO along with his new position at Caterham. “We have big challenges ahead of us but the shareholders are committed and behind us to help us take significant steps forward over the coming years, and one day challenge for the highest honours in F1,” Abiteboul said.
