Van der Garde hopes to 'sign soon'
Giedo van der Garde has yet to secure a deal with Caterham for next season but hopes one is imminent.
The Dutch driver has been linked to several Formula One teams in the past but it was has never resulted in a race-seat.
Confirmed as a Super Aguri test and reserve driver for 2007, van der Garde instead joined Spyker, now Force India.
Four years later he was linked to Virgin Racing, now Marussia, but again was left out in the cold before signing with Caterham as their 2012 reserve driver.
The 27-year-old, though, is hoping to make the step up next season, replacing either Heikki Kovalainen or Vitaly Petrov.
"I haven't signed yet but I hope to sign soon," van der Garde said....
