Unstoppable Vettel on Austin pole

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel won a battle with McLaren's Lewis Hamilton to take pole position for the United States Grand Prix. Hamilton ran Vettel much closer than had looked likely to be the case - the Red Bull was just 0.109 seconds quicker. Vettel's title rival Fernando Alonso only managed ninth and faces a battle to take the fight to the final race. Vettel will win the title if he scores 15 points more than Alonso on Sunday.
