Alonso 'will' outscore Vettel in US GP

Fernando Alonso is adamant he will score more points than Sebastian Vettel in Sunday's United States GP despite his disappointing qualifying. Ahead of Sunday's grand prix, the Championship duo are separated by ten points in Vettel's favour. However, the points margin is not the only thing in Vettel's favour. The Red Bull driver is also starting Sunday's US GP from pole position having proven to be the one to beat throughout the weekend. Alonso is down in eighth and that is after being boosted up one slot due to Romain Grosjean's gearbox penalty.
