Bernie to fight damages claim
Bernie Ecclestone insists there is no basis to the damages claims filed against him in New York and that he will fight them in court.
Bluewaters Communications Holdings, an investment firm, filed a lawsuit at the New York State Supreme Court last week in which Ecclestone was named as one of the defendants.
Bluewaters contend that they offered more than any other party for the 47 percent stake in the sport being sold by German bank BayernLB, but that Ecclestone made sure that CVC Capital Partners won the bidding in order to retain his role as the head of the commercial side of F1. However, Ecclestone says he has no part in the matter.
