‘A long night ahead of us’ - Sauber
Friday brought one of the busiest days of the 2013 Formula 1 season, as teams were presented with the tasks of trialling next year’s tyres and coping with scorching conditions as well as their usual development work. Sauber ended the day in 14th and 15th positions following some sporting announcements in the morning. Before the track action began, current reserve driver Esteban Gutiérrez was named as race driver alongside Nico Hülkenberg for next year.
