Drivers want answers over Hartstein's axing
Formula 1's medical delegate Gary Hartstein's ousting has left the Grand Prix Drivers' Association with more questions than answers.
Hartstein, who has held the role since 2005, revealed he had not been given a new contract with the FIA ahead of the United States Grand Prix, despite wanting to continue in the position.
Chairman of the Drivers' Association Pedro de la Rosa said he plans to discuss the decision with the FIA in hopes of getting a satisfactory explanation.
"We will speak with (FIA race director) Charlie (Whiting) about it and see what his view is, what the plan is and who is going to be the substitute," de la Rosa told Autosport.
