Vettel picks up DHL Fastest Lap Award
Sebastian Vettel was announced as the winner of the 2012 DHL Fastest Lap Award in Brazil last weekend, with the German receiving a trophy for his efforts. The special ceremony took place ahead of Sunday afternoon's season finale at Interlagos. From 20 races, Vettel registered an impressive total of six fastest laps, four more than his nearest rivals. Kimi Raikkonen, Nico Rosberg and Jenson Button all had two to their name at the end of the year, while a further eight drivers recorded one fastest lap. Vettel's Red Bull team-mate, Mark Webber, claimed the DHL title last season, while Raikkonen and Alonso have also won the award since it was introduced in 2007.
