De Villota goes through another surgery
Maria de Villota has undergone through another surgery on Wednesday aimed at reconstructing her face and eye which she severely damaged after a crash during a test session with Marussia in July this year. Scheduled in a hospital in Madrid, Spain, the operation which was announced a little over a month ago lasted for more than seven hours and involved adding plates to her skull. After the successful surgery, aimed to “avoid future dysfunction” due to the injuries, the Spaniard left the intensive care unit and is now recovering, with doctors satisfied with her current condition.
