Fernando Alonso feels 2012 was his best ever season

By Editor on Sunday, December 2, 2012 Championship runner-up Fernando Alonso believes that the 2012 season was the greatest of his career. Alonso won three races and finished on the podium a further ten times in a car widely regarded as not the best in the field. 'I am happy with the way things went', said Alonso, speaking at the Ferrari finals day in Valencia. 'In the end, we lost the title by three points, however I did the best season of my life and now I can only think of the year to come', he added. 'It was a miracle to see, race after race, what we managed to achieve: we definitely did not lose the title in Brazil; that happened in Spa and Suzuka. Next year, we will try and improve...
