Rolex strikes deal with F1

Luxury watchmaker Rolex was announced on Wednesday as the official timekeeper and timepiece of Formula 1 from the 2013 season onwards, in what will be a long-term deal between the two. The arrangement allows Rolex’s logos to be displayed around the circuits and at various corners of the track with its presence to “due to develop over the coming seasons.” “This partnership is something that many people interested in Formula 1 will have been waiting for and should rightly be excited about,” commented F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone. “Rolex has incredible sporting heritage and therefore Formula 1 is the right place for Rolex to be.” The watch manufacturing...
