Former team boss Guido Forti passes away
Ex-Formula 1 team boss Guido Forti has died at the age of 72. The Italian was well-known for running the Forti Corse squad in the highest level of single seater racing between 1995 and 1996, having enjoyed success in lower classes. Forti founded his team with businessman Paulo Guerci in the late 1970s. The outfit quickly enjoyed success in Italian and European Formula 3, which yielded titles for Gianni Morbidelli. However, Forti's greatest results were achieved in 1988, when Enrico Bertaggia won both the Macau Grand Prix and Grand Prix de Monaco F3. A year earlier, the squad had ventured into Formula 3000.
