Herbert backs heavily criticised stewards
Johnny Herbert has leapt to the defence of Formula 1's stewards, disagreeing with Sir Jackie Stewart who recently described the system as disorganised. The triple World Champion has called for a permanent driver steward in a bid to improve consistency, but Herbert says more credit should be given to the panel. Johnny Herbert'Consistency is always a good thing yes, but I think overall it has been pretty consistent personally,' Herbert told Sky Sports.
