Pirelli eyes more pit stops

Pirelli have revealed their new range of tyres for the 2013 Formula One season, promising "a revolution" with their new softer compounds and setting their sights on more pit stops per race. The Italian manufacturer is determined to help improve the show and it hopes the new softer rubber, which they believe will give drivers 0.5s per lap, will play a big role in overtaking. The time gap between the different compounds is also expected to be half a second per lap and Pirelli believes the changes will result in least two pit stops being required per car at race this year.
