Lewis gets Brawn reassurance
New Mercedes recruit Lewis Hamilton has underlined the continued importance of Ross Brawn to the team and revealed his new boss has reassured him that he's not leaving. Although Hamilton's first public appearance in Mercedes colours only came on Monday, the former McLaren driver's first week at Brackley has coincided with the onset of intense media speculation over the team's management structure, especially surrounding the future of their Team Principal.
But after Brawn insisted on Thursday that he remains the man in charge, Hamilton made clear that he sees the former Ferrari and Benetton man as the "figurehead" to lead Mercedes forward.
