Ascanelli joins Brembo as tech chief

Former Toro Rosso technical head Giorgio Ascanelli has joined Formula 1 brake supplier Brembo. Ascanelli will become the firm's new chief technical officer. The Italian ran Toro Rosso's design team from 2007 to '12, when he parted company with the squad in the summer. Ex-Sauber man James Key was subsequently announced as Ascanelli's replacement.
