E21 better than expected for Grosjean
Romain Grosjean said the performance of the new Lotus E21 was "even better" than he'd been expecting on the opening day of the first test. Grosjean was third quickest on the first day at Jerez, just under a second slower than Jenson Button's McLaren and less than 0.1s off Mark Webber's Red Bull. While Grosjean was keen not to directly compare the feeling with this year's car and last year's E20, he did say he'd found it was a strong base to start from.
