Pirelli eager for long-term deal
Pirelli motorsport boss Paul Hembery says he is eager to see the tyre supplier secure a long-term deal to continue in its F1 role.The current tyre deal comes to an end at the end of the current season, with Pirelli now entering the third year of the deal it agreed when it made a return to the sport.The supplier has made no secret of its desire to extend the current deal beyond 2013 and Hembery has now revealed that Pirelli is keen to secure a long-term agreement to continue supplying tyres to the field.“We will know soon if we get a new contract as the sole supplier in Formula One,” he was quoted by Speed Week. “We wouild prefer a long-term contract, say five years.“We have have...
