Lotus hope for easier Day Two

Lotus are confident they'll be to carry out a less restricted testing programme with their E21 on Day Two at Barcelona after a telemetry problem frustrated them on Tuesday. Although Kimi Raikkonen continued the Enstone team's promising form on the timesheet by all-but matching Nico Rosberg's fastest overall time of the day, the Finn's 44-lap total was the lowest in the 11-car field. Explaining the reasons behind the relative lack of mileage, Lotus Technical Director James Allison revealed that intermittent data-logging system had meant they could only carry out a series of short runs during the day.
