Danica Patrick doesn't need F1 'to have a full life'
It may be ‘dopey’ not to have a woman driver in Formula 1 but NASCAR’s Danica Patrick isn’t ready to fill in that slot. The 30-year-old made history recently when she became the first woman to start a Sprint Cup race from the pole, giving the series headline-grabbing coverage. Patrick led the race briefly but was eventually eighth, the best finish by a woman at the Daytona 500. Her efforts boosted preliminary television ratings for the event by 30 percent over the previous edition and claimed the highest overnight rating since 2006.
