Perez shrugs off McLaren tech changes

Sergio Perez insists that McLaren's chances of winning the world championship this year will not be compromised by the technical staffing shake-up caused by Paddy Lowe's planned departure. Lowe has been moved away from McLaren's F1 efforts for the remainder of the year ahead of an expected move to Mercedes in 2014. His position as technical director has been taken by McLaren stalwart Tim Goss, who will now lead the team's engineering efforts. Although such a reshuffle of staff is not ideal so close to the start of a campaign, Perez thinks that the changes should not be destabilising at all.
