Alonso: I am better than last year

No doubt stung by knowing just how close he came to pulling off an upset win in the 2012 F1 world championship, Fernando Alonso insists that his motivation to get the job done this year is higher than ever.Speaking at an event on behalf of sponsor Santander, the Spaniard claimed that, provided he had the car to tackle the likes of Red Bull and McLaren, he was mentally strong enough to land a third world title to add to the two he took with Renault."I am more motivated than last year but, of course, I also need a better car than last year because we were too far from the leaders," he explained, "I was obviously motivated and wanted to win [in 2012], but I arrived in Australia...
