Maldonado sends wishes to Chávez family

Pastor Maldonado has expressed his condolences to the family of Hugo Chávez, the former Venezuelan President who passed away on Tuesday. The two men knew each other well, partly thanks to the Williams driver's backing from oil giants PDVSA. "I feel the deep pain that all Venezuelan's are going through, my condolences to the Chávez family and Venezuela," Maldonado said via Twitter. "Not only a great man has gone, but a great man whose ideas transcended beyond boundaries. He was a hero." A new presidential election will now be held in Venezuela, with the main candidates set to be Vice-President Nicolás Maduro and opposition leader Henrique Capriles. If the latter wins,...
