Schumacher retires from racing
Just a couple of months after his elder brother was effectively forced to call time on his F1 return by Mercedes' decision to snap up Lewis Hamilton for 2013, Ralf Schumacher has also decided to hang up his helmet.The younger German had been due to return to the Mercedes' line-up in this year's DTM, but caused a surprise on the eve of the new season by announcing that he would be stepping out of the cockpit and into a management role, His place in the Three Pointed Star's line-up will be filled by F3 hotshot Pascal Wehrlein.No official announcement has been made by either Mercedes or Schumacher, although confirmation of his retirement is expected imminently.The German, whose achievements...
