Silverstone works to avoid rain chaos

Silverstone has started work to avoid a repeat of the weather-related chaos that hit the British Grand Prix last year.The 2012 race was affected by heavy rain that left car parks and campsites flooded, and which led to the circuit asking fans to stay away from Saturday's on-track action.The circuit insisted that it would make changes ahead of the 2013 race, with working now ongoing to improve drainage across the site. Mesh protection has also been laid across five acres of the Woodlands campsite to make the area more robust for the future.As well as improving the drainage systems, Silverstone has also worked to improve transport links and will improve the shuttle services for users...
