Ricciardo records his best F1 result
Daniel Ricciardo finished the Chinese Grand Prix from where he started and although he didn’t gain any places at the end, the Australian recorded his best result in Formula 1. The Toro Rosso driver finished seventh in Shanghai on Sunday and opened his account for the season. His previous best was a ninth place finish, which he registered four times last year. “The last time I qualified this well was sixth in Bahrain last year and then I failed to score, so today, I really wanted to show people what I could do,” Ricciardo said referring to his P6 start in last year’s Bahrain GP only to find himself going backwards and finishing a lap down in 15th in the race.
