Alonso: Ferrari can fight for the title

Fernando Alonso believes Ferrari demonstrated in Spain that they can compete for the Championship having taken a commanding victory. Lining up on the grid in front of his home fans, Alonso was quickly up to third, putting in a phenomenal pass on Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen in one swoop. Pitting early, the Spaniard made up another position when he moved ahead of Sebastian Vettel while, with the help of DRS, he easily picked off Nico Rosberg. From there the grand prix was Alonso's to loose and he slowly etched out a lead that was only ever reliquinshed as the pit stops played out.
