Pirelli: Alonso had a puncture
Fernando Alonso appears to finally have had a bit of luck this season as he somehow managed to get away with a puncture in Spain.
The Spaniard started fifth on the grid and he was up to third place by the end of the opening lap while he moved to second after the first round of pit stops. He went on to win his home race by 9.3seconds from Kimi Raikkonen to claim his first win at the Circuit de Catalunya as a Ferrari driver.
However, according to Pirelli motorsport director Paul Hembery got a bit of good fortune as he picked up a puncture just before he made his first of four stops.
