Vergne left frustrated after pit lane clash

Jean-Eric Vergne has been left frustrated after a disastrous Spanish Grand Prix which saw the Toro Rosso driver retire from the race after damage. The Frenchman summed up his race, saying 'It was one problem after another today.' Vergne suffered damage at his second pit stop after Nico Hulkenberg's Sauber was released alongside him. When the Toro Rosso driver braked to enter his pit box the Sauber ran into the back of him. Talking about his woes in the pit lane in a team statement he said 'I was coming into the pits, Sauber did an unsafe release with Hulkenberg who drove into me and then I had a problem with a tyre.'
