Bernie: The truth will prevail
Bernie Ecclestone is confident the truth will set him free as he faces charges relating to the Formula One bribery scandal.
According to the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, the "Munich prosecutor has filed charges against Bernie Ecclestone" of "bribing a public official" as well as "abetting breach of fiduciary duty." The 82-year-old and his lawyers have yet to receive the documents as it will "take some time" to translate into English.
But once that is done, the F1 supremo could find himself in a Munich court, forced to answer to his alleged crimes of paying former BayernLB banker Gerhard Gribkowsky a bribe during the sale of Formula One to CVC....
