Perez: That was the maximum
Sergio Perez was disappointed after squeezing every drop out of his MP4-28 only to find out he was just P7 in qualifying.
Perez headed in qualifying for the Monaco GP with a poor record at the track, having crashed out in both his previous Saturday afternoon sessions.
This time, though, the Mexican came through it with flying colours - or so he thought.
"It's not great to cross the finish line, feel like you've just done a mega lap, and find that you're only seventh," he lamented.
Perez's 1:15.138 on the drying streets, put him a full second behind pole-sitter Nico Rosberg. He did, however, outqualify team-mate Jenson Button by half a second.
