Coletti secures home win

Stefano Coletti secured victory in the GP2 sprint race around the streets of Monte Carlo. Coletti's win was the first home win for a Monegasque driver in either Formula 1 or its main support series since 1931. Championship leader Coletti jumped up from third on the grid to slot in behind pole sitter Adrian Quaife Hobbs on the run up Beau Rivage. The Rapax driver pulled off a bold move into the Nouvelle Chicane on lap three to take the lead, one which he never relinquished. Quaife-Hobbs hung onto second place to give new team MP Motorsport their first podium finish in GP2.
