Stefano Domenicali has asked the FIA for clarification about in-season testing after it was revealed that Mercedes had completed a 1000km tyre test following the Spanish Grand Prix. The case concerning Mercedes has been referred to the FIA by the Monaco GP race stewards after Red Bull and Ferrari lodged a formal protest, but Domenicali is happy for the rules on in-season testing to be relaxed relying that there is a level playing field.
