Canadian curse continues to haunt Ferrari
Ferrari hasn’t won the Canadian Grand Prix since 2004 and the barren run may continue another year after Fernando Alonso qualified sixth and teammate Felipe Massa in 16th on Saturday. Alonso’s sixth place was his worst grid position in Montreal - where he has retired in half the Grands Prix he has competed in - since his debut year with Minardi in 2001 while Massa has never started race from the front row. Trailing championship leader Sebastian Vettel – who claimed pole position – by 29 points, the Spaniard’s gap stands to extend further on Sunday.
