Raikkonen, Ricciardo hit with penalties
Kimi Raikkonen and Daniel Ricciardo have each collected a two-place grid penalty for not lining up correctly at the pit lane exit when waiting for the second leg of qualifying to begin. Qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix had stopped after Felipe Massa had crashed his Ferrari and by the time it had resumed there was just about two minutes left for the session to end. To take advantage, cars lined up at the pit lane exit to make most of the limited track time but Raikkonen, who qualified in ninth, and Ricciardo, in tenth, parked adjacent to the designated ‘fast lane’. “We didn’t have grip in these conditions so we did pretty much all we could do, but if...
